Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 3 June 2026

theADmarket Pty Ltd ("theADmarket", "we", "us" or "our") respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how to request deletion of any personal information that theADmarket holds about you, including information we may have collected through our website, our forms, our advertising activity, our applications, our use of Facebook Login or other social logins, or through services we provide on behalf of our clients.

If you used Facebook Login to sign in to a theADmarket service or to an application operated by theADmarket (App ID 4413496612196711), and you wish to revoke our app's access and have us delete the personal information associated with that login, the instructions below apply to you.

1. Your right to request deletion

You have the right to request that we delete personal information we hold about you. This right is recognised under:

  • The Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 17 ("right to erasure" / "right to be forgotten").
  • The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
  • Meta's Platform Terms requirement that apps using Facebook Login provide a clear way for users to request data deletion.

You can exercise this right free of charge and without needing to provide a reason.

2. How to request deletion

To request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, please send an email to dpo@theadmarket.com with the subject line:

Data Deletion Request

In your email, please include:

  1. The full name you used when interacting with us.
  2. The email address you used (if known).
  3. The phone number you provided (if applicable).
  4. A short description of how you interacted with us. For example: "I submitted a lead form on a Meta ad in May 2026", or "I used Facebook Login to sign in to the theADmarket Agency app", or "I was contacted by theADmarket about a service".
  5. The platform or website through which you interacted with us (for example, Facebook, Instagram, www.theadmarket.com, a specific client landing page).

You do not need to provide more information than necessary to identify your record. We will only ask for additional information if we are unable to locate your record from what you provide, and any additional information you give us in that process will also be deleted after we have processed your request.

3. Alternative ways to request deletion

If you cannot use email, you can also:

  • Write to us at theADmarket Pty Ltd, 18 Parkview Terrace, Chirnside Park, Victoria 3116, Australia.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any email we have sent you, then reply to that email asking us to delete your record.
  • Contact our Data Protection Officer by email at dpo@theadmarket.com.

4. If you used Facebook Login

If you used Facebook Login to access a theADmarket application (App ID 4413496612196711) and you want to revoke the app's access to your Facebook account in addition to requesting data deletion from us:

  1. Sign in to Facebook.
  2. Go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (or visit https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications).
  3. Find TheAdmarket Agency in the list of active or expired apps.
  4. Click Remove to revoke the app's permission to access your Facebook profile.

Removing the app on Facebook stops any further sharing of information from Facebook to theADmarket. To also delete the information we already hold about you, you must separately email dpo@theadmarket.com as set out in Section 2.

5. What we will do

When we receive your deletion request, we will:

  1. Acknowledge your request by email within 5 business days.
  2. Verify that the request has come from you (we may ask one or two confirmation questions to make sure we don't delete the wrong person's data).
  3. Search all systems where we hold personal information about you. This includes our CRM, our email and marketing platforms, our advertising platforms (such as Meta Custom Audiences, Google customer match lists), our ticketing systems, our database, our memory store, and any backups.
  4. Delete the personal information we hold about you, or de-identify it so it can no longer be associated with you.
  5. Confirm to you by email when deletion is complete.

We will complete this process within 30 days of receiving a verified request. If the request is unusually complex or we are processing a large number of requests, we may extend this period by up to a further 60 days and will tell you why.

6. What we cannot delete

There are limited circumstances where we may not be able to delete some information. These include:

  • Financial and tax records that we are legally required to retain (typically 5 to 7 years under Australian tax law).
  • Records of consent, including any record showing that you opted in to direct marketing or accepted a contract, where we need that record to demonstrate compliance with the law.
  • Information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, including invoices and any communications relevant to a dispute.
  • Backups that have already been written and that we cannot selectively edit. These will be overwritten in the normal course of our backup rotation, and we will not restore your personal information from any backup once your deletion request has been actioned.
  • Information held by our clients. If we collected the information on behalf of a client of theADmarket, that client is the controller of the information and we will forward your request to that client and ask them to action it. We will tell you who the client is, and you also have the right to contact that client directly.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that does not, and cannot reasonably be used to, identify you.

If any exemption applies, we will explain to you which information has been retained, why, and for how long.

7. Information passed to advertising platforms

If theADmarket has previously uploaded a record about you (typically a hashed email address or phone number) to an advertising platform such as Meta Custom Audiences, Google Customer Match, LinkedIn Matched Audiences or TikTok Custom Audiences (whether on our own behalf or on behalf of a client), as part of your deletion request we will:

  1. Remove your record from any active custom audience list we control.
  2. Submit a deletion request to the relevant platform for any list we uploaded.
  3. Provide you with a list of the platforms we contacted so that, if you wish, you can also exercise your rights with those platforms directly. Each platform has its own retention period and process; we cannot control how quickly the platform actions our request.

You can also opt out of personalised advertising directly with each platform. We have included general links in our Privacy Policy at https://www.theadmarket.com/pages/privacy-policy.

8. If you are not satisfied

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data deletion request, you may complain to:

  • Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), https://www.oaic.gov.au, for residents of Australia.
  • Your local data protection authority in the EU or UK, for residents of those regions. A list is available at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en (EU) and https://ico.org.uk (UK).

We would prefer to resolve any concern with you directly first, so please contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@theadmarket.com before lodging a complaint where possible.
