When I launched theADmarket, the original vision was clear: build a marketplace where brands could connect with the best advertising and marketing talent. Think of it as a curated Upwork for the advertising world, a space where experienced creatives, strategists, and marketers could be matched with businesses needing a short-term solution.
That model worked to an extent, but over time, it became clear the market didn’t just want talent, it needed traction. Whether it was a startup struggling to scale, a growing influencer unsure how to monetise their following, or an established business looking for new revenue streams, one thing became obvious:
People weren’t looking for freelancers.
They were looking for a partner.
And that’s where theADmarket has evolved, from a sourcing platform to a full-service business growth agency helping SMEs and influencers unlock potential, drive revenue, and build long-term, scalable businesses.
Why We Pivoted
Like so many, COVID was a turning point. My background spans 30 years in advertising, sales and marketing across the UK, Middle East, Asia, and Australia. When the pandemic hit, projects slowed and I found myself helping a handful of businesses rethink how they grow.
Wine Animal, a wine-focused Instagram account with 4,000 followers at the time, had no website and no clear business model. But with a few simple strategies, a proper digital structure, events calendar, a loyalty program, and consistent content, it grew into a full-time business generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in its first year and growing its audience by over 600%.
That wasn’t a fluke. That was strategy.
And the more I worked with founders, influencers, and creators, the more I saw how underserved this space was, particularly when it came to monetisation. So, I rethought the business.
The Shift Towards Automation and AI
The digital landscape is shifting fast, and so are client expectations. AI is no longer a futuristic idea, it’s happening now. In fact, Admetrics reports that AI-driven ad targeting, creative generation, and optimisation are already outperforming traditional methods in many sectors.
At the same time, personalisation is becoming the new baseline for marketing. According to a recent LinkedIn article on the state of digital marketing in 2025, almost every aspect of digital marketing is now being influenced by AI, from campaign planning to customer service.
